Meet Anand Rathi- Man behind the beautiful pictures of Sonam Kapoor Ahuja's Wedding
WallMag: A little about Reels and Frames?
We are a photography and film company based out of Mumbai. We specialize in capturing social celebrations and indie style cinematography.
WallMag: When did you first know you wanted to be a wedding photographer?
I picked up photography as a hobby during my MBA course. I loved travelling (still do!) and photography was a perfect complementing activity. This went on for a while until one day, a friend asked to carry my camera to his wedding. I liked the idea of documenting real people and emotions. I started doing wedding photography weekends while still continuing with my day job as a treasury manager. One fine day, I made a leap of faith and went full time.
WallMag: Is there something that you learned in your career that you’d wish you had known earlier?
I would have loved to know more about camera tech when I started out. For me, the journey was slow since I was learning entirely on my own (via youtube).
WallMag: Your best project so far.
WallMag: Could you talk a bit about your post-processing workflow?
We deal with large volumes of data. Thankfully, network storage comes to the rescue. We keep tweaking our workflow to optimize speed and reduce turn around time. In terms of look and feel of the final video/photo, we try and stay in the true-colour zone.
WallMag: If someone wants to get in touch with you - may be a bride & groom, or a photographer or filmmaker who wants to join your team, how should they go about it?
Clients can write to us at info@reelsandframes.in and for hiring, we are available at careers@reelsandframes.in
WallMag: What advice would you give to a couple looking for a wedding photographer?
Your wedding photos are the only bridge that exists between the present and the memories of a beautiful past. Make sure you get along with the person-in-charge of building this bridge and once you do, don't forget to smile :)
WallMag: Please share 5 of your pictures that are close to your heart.
