"It all started at the age of 17 when my parents bought me a new phone"- Saurabh Dalvi
WallMag: Tell our readers a bit about yourself.
Hi guys! My name is Saurabh Dalvi, a not so professional but a passionate photographer who loves every bit of being behind the camera trying to create some amazing pictures.
WallMag: Tell us where it all begun. how did you become a photographer?
It all started at the age of 17 when my parents bought me a new phone with a 5mp camera. Soon after that I purchased the cheapest DSLR camera and learnt all the aspects of a camera via the internet. It wasn't stopping after that as I started loving the pictures myself which pushed me to do better every time I went out with my camera. After a while, I started assisting a celebrity & fashion photographer which helped me a lot in understanding the concept of fashion photography, lighting and getting the right mood in every picture. That's how my photography journey has begun and transformed me from an amateur to a professional photographer.
WallMag: When you’re working with a model, how important is communication during a shoot?
One of the most important factors to make the model comfortable and make her understand what exactly are you looking out of the photoshoot.
WallMag: Mostly you are working with people, what is the secret behind to get a good expression or pose from them?
The secret of getting a great expression and the best pose out of the model is to let them be in their comfort zone and just have a great time in front of the camera. A little bit of direction is all it needs.
WallMag: Fashion photography allows for quite a bit of experimentation. What inspires you?
Everything around me inspires me to create something new. When I am roaming around and find a good place I am mostly clear in my mind of what can I create at this particular place. After that, the whole process of a photoshoot starts and it is not necessary that its gonna be a great photoshoot, but not all experiments end up giving you the best results.
WallMag: Before you start a shoot, how you prepare yourself?
Honestly, I feel nervous but equally excited before every shoot. I just make sure I have carried all my equipment's and the lighting is on point. Rest everything gets better once the shoot starts :)
WallMag: Share pictures of celebrities that are clicked by you.
WallMag: Any advice to the people who want to pursue a career in photography?
Most of the aspiring photographers are under a wrong impression that its the expensive camera's and equipment that creates best pictures, but it is not the camera and equipment that matters the most, the person behind the camera does so never give up. be patient, keep shooting and improve yourself every time you step out with your camera. Things will change :)
