When the dead organic matter falls into the water and sinks to the bottom, the bacteria munch on the matter & discharges methane.
Then it turns to white floating bubbles when it comes into contact with frozen water.
These bubbles are often known as ice bubbles or frozen bubbles. Though they look beautiful, they can be harmful as well because they are frozen pockets of methane, which is a highly inflammable gas.
