One of the seven natural wonders of the world: Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. There are three main types of sedimentary rocks, namely sandstone, mudstone, and limestone. Different types of rocks are visible in this area, which makes it an important site for geological research purposes. American Indians have been living in and around the canyon for thousands of years. There are approximately 70 species of mammals, 250 species of birds, 25 types of reptiles and five species of amphibians. Animals living in the Grand Canyon are Coyotes, Squirrels, Raccoons, Bobcats, Mountain Lions, Bald Eagles, and others. The rocks at the top of the plateau are the youngest and the ones at the bottom are the oldest. It is surprising that temperatures vary greatly between the top and the bottom of the canyon.
