WallMag: Tell our readers a bit about yourself.
I am Kartik Patel. I am Farmer by Profession. I am a big fan of wildlife and ecosystem.
WallMag: What made you get passionate over Wildlife Photography?
Since my childhood, I have lived among dense forest. In my early childhood during my school days in Mount Abu, I used to go trekking and would observe how Bear behave. I got more passionate once I quit my job and started farming. I used to sit for hours and hours and observe the pattern of Jackals. With time I had a camera and the journey started and started blogging on Instagram.
WallMag: Can you tell us a bit about Arrowhead?
Arrowhead is one of the first tigers I saw in the wild. She was 13 months old when I first saw her with her siblings, Lightning and Pacman. She is the daughter of Krishna and granddaughter of Legendary Machli. Currently, she holds the most beautiful area of Ranthambore i.e. the lakes or zone 3. These three siblings are close to my heart. Its sad Pacman is no more.

WallMag: Can you mention some basic traits for being a Wildlife Photographer?
Being a wildlife photographer needs a lot of patience. One needs to understand the species behaviour to get the best images. Wildlife Photography ain't about just pressing the shutter. It's about waiting for the moment and freezing it to get the best frame. One should always respect wildlife while making images and always keep in mind that, animals should be given more importance than making images.
WallMag: What makes animals so special for you and can you please mention any special moment with them?
I have always loved observing animals. There is a bond which makes me work for them. I can spend hours and hours in the forest without any complains, its just there is a connection. I have had many special moments, one of them was watching and documenting the three siblings i.e. Arrowhead, Pacman and Lightning. It was the first time I ever saw a tiger in the wild.
WallMag: Your Future goals/assignments and one place in the world you want to go but haven’t got a chance to?
Currently laying the blueprint to get Asiatic cheetah back to the Velavadar grasslands. Sumatra is the place where I would be going if I get a chance.
WallMag: How do you think Photography can change People’s attitude towards few endangered species / Wildlife?
Currently we in that phase where most of the population is unaware what's going on around. with the growth of social media, photography can make a great impact on peoples mind. We can help people understand how the ecosystem is interconnected and with the end of each species, we burdening the ecosystem.
