The symbolic logo of Plitvice Lake National Park is the European brown bear, which can be found in the park. They are 50 other mammal species, like deer, pine martens, hedgehogs, lynx, otters, and wolves. Plitvice Lakes National Park is also home to 16 different lakes which change color by the second. Within the blink of an eye, you can see blue, green, aquamarine and turquoise. This is due to the way the sun hits the water and the number of organisms and minerals. Plitvice Lakes is home not only to their own natural beauty but also that of many different bird species. Just the right combination of humidity and moisture results in Plitvice National Park is the perfect home to such bird species as the Corncrake, Ural Owl, Tengmalm’s Owl, White-backed Woodpecker, Three-toed Woodpecker, Black Stork, Honey Buzzard, Montagu’s Harrier, Golden Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Hazel Grouse, and Capercaillie.
