WallMag: What made you interested in photography?

sparsh

There was an exhibition in my city 10 years back, and I came to know about it. I recently had come from Himachal, just like every tourist, I had clicked a few pictures, and they got selected for the exhibition, along with some water droplet art. I used to have a digicam back then, After this, my parents got me a professional DSLR camera, and that's how it all started.

WallMag: Everybody seems to have different definitions of "street photography". Do you adhere to rigid rules or something broader? What is your definition?

sparsh

I don't think this art should have had any rigid rules. Street photography as per my perspective is just shooting ordinary everyday things extraordinarily.

WallMag: What is most important at the moment you take a picture?

sparsh

What I just saw with my eyes and how I am imagining in my head.

WallMag: Can you share your achievements in life regarding photography and the motivation behind it?

sparsh

I've won multiple small online competitions, won 'Dioptre- an all India photography competition conducted by AIIMS Raipur' twice in a row.

WallMag: Can you please share one "Rare Moment in your Photography life"?

sparsh

So, this happened last week when I was capturing the milky way and star trails, I was lucky enough to experience a clear sky which let me appreciate the andromeda galaxy.

WallMag: How would you define your photography style?

sparsh

There's nothing specific as such. I see things, imagine how will my camera see it, and I shoot.

WallMag: What, in your opinion, is most important to consider while shooting portrait pictures?

sparsh

The camera lens should be in line with the model's eyes.

WallMag: What have been your top 3 best portraits so far, and why do you consider them as your best shot?

They all were shot in the same place, “Dhobi ghat, Mumbai” they’ll be always special for me. From the not so famous and dull areas of Mumbai.

WallMag: What apps or tools do you use to bring out the best in a photograph?

sparsh

I use adobe lightroom on my phone or iPad to process my images.

WallMag: As a photographer, how far do you think participating in awards/contests is important for a photography career?

sparsh

I guess those should be in the utmost priority of a photographer, they make you feel confident about your work, and you get to see and compare your work with the best people in this field, and I guess that makes you grow.

WallMag: Can you share a street shot that makes you think deeper?

sparsh

WallMag: Could you please share an image of your photography gear.

sparsh

WallMag: What would you say to the photographers who want to capture amazing street photos?

sparsh

Learn how to form the perfect frame, upgrade your skills before upgrading your gear.

WallMag: What, in your opinion, is most important to consider while shooting portrait pictures?

sparsh

How dramatic have you imagined in your head?

WallMag: How do you make emotions to flow inside the frames, how difficult is that and how do you achieve it?

sparsh

It's a matter of tones and shadows.
