WallMag is unveiling something special for the country's photography community — the WallMag Creative Photography Awards 2026. This isn't a celebration of pretty pictures; it's a recognition of vision. Of the photographers who treat the lens as a brush, who turn the ordinary into the unforgettable, and who are reshaping what a still image can mean in 2026.
Submissions open on 4 May 2026. This is your early notice — start gathering your strongest, most personal work now.

The WallMag Creative Photography Awards 2026 are built for India's most imaginative photographers — those who push beyond documentation and into storytelling, art, and experimentation. We are here to recognise creators across fine art, conceptual, surreal, abstract, mixed media, and editorial photography — work that challenges convention and reveals new ways of seeing.
Entries are evaluated through a dual-track process: a curated industry jury alongside an open community vote. That combination ensures winners are recognised for both technical craft and the emotional resonance their images carry. Selected creators earn national visibility, partner brand collaboration opportunities, and a permanent place in WallMag's creative photography legacy.
👥 Who It's For
If your photographs ask questions instead of just answering them — this is for you. We welcome:
- Independent photographers building bodies of personal, conceptual work
- Editorial and commercial photographers experimenting beyond their commissioned work
- Emerging visual artists who use the camera as a primary medium
- Multidisciplinary creators blending photography with mixed media, collage, or digital craft
There are no genre or experience restrictions within creative photography. What matters is originality, intent, and craft.
🖼️ What We're Excited to See
Submit up to 5 of your strongest, original creative photography projects. Each project may include a single hero image or a series telling a cohesive visual story. We are especially excited about work that pushes the boundaries of what a photograph can say — fine art, conceptual, surreal, abstract, mixed media, and editorial frames that linger.
Three submission principles:
- Authentic ownership — each submission must be created and fully owned by the creator.
- Maximum scope — up to 5 unique projects may be shared.
- Integrity first — any plagiarism, copied work, stock content, or AI-generated content results in immediate disqualification.

The recognition is built on three pillars: meaningful platform value, editorial visibility, and partner-led collaboration. The Top 3 winners share the spotlight, while the Top 100 finalists are celebrated as a peer cohort.

❓ Common Questions
Eligibility, judging, originality, prize distribution, and AI/stock policy — five plain answers will live on the official award page when submissions open. The short version: any photographer based in India over 18 can enter; jury and community both shape the result; original work only; partner brand coupons reach winners and finalists within seven days of the announcement; AI-generated and stock submissions will be disqualified without refund.
