As someone who once struggled with finding inspiration, I understand the challenges of starting as an amateur photographer. As a self-taught artist, my journey began almost 10 years ago and evolved into a deep passion for capturing life's beautiful moments. Becoming an amateur photographer is all about embracing my inner artist. It's about seeing the world differently and capturing moments that speak to my own soul.
What was the first moment you realized you wanted to pursue photography seriously?
As a photographer, the first moment I knew I wanted to pursue it seriously was when I stood before a vast landscape, raised my camera, and realized the frame wasn't just capturing scenery--it was translating the feeling of being there. The shifting of light, the silence of the valley, the immensity of space--all together made me realize that photography could be my language.
How has your approach to photography evolved over the years?
My photography has evolved from chasing perfect technical shots to telling deeper visual stories. Initially, I focused on getting the sharpest image with the right exposure, but now I prioritize the narrative and emotion behind each frame. I've learned that a technically imperfect photo can still be powerful if it conveys a genuine moment or feeling.
What draws you to architectural, landscape, and street photography?
I am drawn to architecture for its geometry and design, to landscapes for their natural drama and light, and to street photography for the raw stories of everyday life. Each genre offers a unique way to see the world: architecture challenges me to find order and beauty in man-made structures, landscapes connect me with the grandeur of nature, and street photography keeps me grounded in the spontaneous, unfiltered moments of human experience.

This photo shows a classical courtyard framed by tall Corinthian columns, opening upward to reveal tree branches against a bright sky. The contrast between the warm stone architecture and lush greenery creates a serene, timeless composition. I love how the columns guide the eye upward, emphasizing the interplay between human design and nature's organic forms.

That landscape feels special because it captures pure contrast -- the golden slopes meeting snow-capped peaks under a deep blue sky. The warm light on the foreground hills creates a sense of intimacy, while the distant mountains evoke awe and remoteness. It reminds me of the quiet power of nature and how light can transform a scene into something almost spiritual.

This street photography tells a quiet, timeless story -- children playing and resting against the backdrop of centuries-old terracotta architecture. The warm evening light paints both the ancient carvings and the young faces in gold, bridging history and everyday life. I was struck by how the past and present coexisted so naturally in that moment, and I wanted to preserve that fleeting harmony.
How did you capture the light and shadow in this shot?
This light and shadow shot was achieved using the silhouette photography technique, exposing for the bright sunset rather than the subjects. I set the aperture to f/8.0, shutter speed to 1/640, ISO 400, and exposure compensation to -1.00. By underexposing the scene, the subjects became dark silhouettes against the vibrant sky, emphasizing the dramatic contrast and the beauty of the setting sun.

I am proud of this photo because it captures the harmony between human presence and untouched nature -- the cabin nestled against towering peaks feels like a quiet celebration of solitude and serenity. It represents peace, freedom, and the awe of standing small before something vast and timeless. Every time I look at it, I'm reminded of the importance of preserving such pristine landscapes.
