From Chaos to Connection: An Interview with Musician Mr. RYM

From Chaos to Connection: An Interview with Musician Mr. RYM

How did your journey in music begin?

Music started as a personal escape and quickly became my passion. I was always drawn to melodies, emotions, and storytelling through sound. What began as experimenting with ideas gradually evolved into producing original music and sharing it with the world. The journey has been filled with learning, challenges, and growth, but each release has strengthened my belief in the power of music to connect people and emotions.

When was the first time you felt that music could express chaos and emotion?

The first time I truly realized that music could express both chaos and emotion was while creating my debut track, Ghaam. That project marked my first real step into the music industry and became a turning point in my artistic journey. Through the process, I discovered how melodies, textures, and sound design could communicate feelings that words often fail to capture. Ghaam taught me that music is not just entertainment—it is a powerful medium for expressing personal struggles, emotions, and the complexity of human experiences.

How has your experience and sound evolved over the years?

Although my official debut came in January, the journey behind it began more than four years earlier. Those years were dedicated to learning, experimenting, refining my production skills, and discovering my artistic identity. Over time, my sound evolved from simple ideas into more immersive and emotionally driven compositions. Every challenge, mistake, and breakthrough helped shape my music into what it is today. My debut release was not just the beginning of my career—it was the result of years of persistence, growth, and dedication to my craft.

What aspect of your music do you think resonates most with listeners?

The aspect that resonates most with listeners is the emotion behind my music. I focus on turning feelings, experiences, and moments into sound, creating immersive musical journeys rather than just tracks. My goal is to make music that people don’t just hear—they feel. When listeners connect their own stories and emotions to my work, that’s when the music truly comes alive.

Can you share a snippet of a track that feels like a memory and tell us why it reflects that?

This snippet reflects my journey as an artist. It captures the emotions, experiences, and creative evolution that have defined my path in music. Every element reminds me of the years of dedication behind my work and serves as a memory of how far I’ve come, from learning and experimenting to sharing my music with the world.

What's the story behind a chaotic or emotionally intense piece you've created?

The story behind Sach comes from the chaos of confronting truth—both within ourselves and in the world around us. The visuals and music reflect moments of confusion, emotion, and self-discovery. I wanted to create something that feels raw and honest, allowing listeners to connect with their own experiences while finding meaning in the chaos.

How does your environment influence the emotions in your music?

My environment plays a significant role in shaping the emotions in my music. Everyday experiences, conversations, challenges, and even moments of solitude often inspire the stories I tell through sound. I absorb emotions from the world around me and translate them into melodies, atmospheres, and textures. Whether it’s the energy of a busy city or the quiet moments of self-reflection, each environment leaves an imprint on my creative process and helps me create music that feels authentic and relatable.

What do you want the audience to feel when they watch your performance?

When people watch my performance, I want them to feel something real. Whether it’s hope, nostalgia, reflection, or even chaos, I want the music to create a personal connection that stays with them long after the performance ends. My goal is not just to entertain but to make listeners feel understood, allowing them to see their own stories and emotions within the music. If even one person walks away feeling inspired or connected, then the performance has achieved its purpose.

What's a recent idea or fragment you're excited about?

I’m excited about revisiting a political satire concept I created almost six years ago. With today’s social and cultural conversations, the idea feels more relevant than ever. I’m looking forward to reinterpreting it with a fresh perspective and using music as a way to inspire reflection, discussion, and deeper engagement with the world around us.

What's one thing about your creative process that people might be surprised to learn?

One thing that might surprise people is that some of my songs take years to fully come to life. While my official debut happened recently, many of the ideas, emotions, and concepts behind my music have been evolving for over four years. I rarely rush the creative process—I let experiences, memories, and emotions shape the music naturally until it feels complete. For me, every track is more than a composition; it’s a chapter of a much longer journey.
