The best time to visit the Wisteria tree tunnel is between end-April to mid-May, that's because during this time the flowers are in full bloom. Between 27-29 April, a festival called the Wisteria takes place at the end of the Golden week. Kawachi Fuji Garden holds a universal image as it is famous in all around the world beacuse of its pastel blanket of wisteria trees that form a tunnel. The tunnel is roughly 100 meter long, made up of wisteria trees of different varieties and colors, ranging from white to dark purple. Wisteria symbolizes youth, poetry, female beauty, healing and protection. The Japanese themselves call this tunnel “The Road of Happiness”.
