How did your journey in music, particularly as a multilingual rapper, begin?
My hip-hop journey began at 9 years old. I vividly remember coming home from school and hearing KR$NA on my dad's FM radio; his flow hooked me immediately and those early idols like him, Divine, and Shah Rule shaped my foundation. But my evolution into a multilingual rapper happened as I found my own voice. I wanted to prove my pen game by writing in Marathi, Kannada, Hindi, and English. Tracks like 'Mother Tongue' were born from that desire to mix my roots with the culture around me and create a lane completely my own.
When was the first time you performed live on stage?
My very first time on stage was during a college fest. Taking the music I had been working on and finally performing it in front of a live crowd of my peers was an unforgettable experience. The energy I felt from the audience that day completely solidified my passion for performing.
How has your experience and style grown over the years?
When I first started, I was heavily focused on studying the flows of the greats in Desi Hip-Hop. As I gained more experience, my style naturally grew to be more reflective of my actual environment. The biggest growth has been in my multilingual songwriting. I went from experimenting with words to confidently writing complex verses that transition fluidly between Marathi, Kannada, Hindi, and English. It's no longer just about rhyming; it's about communicating my reality in the most authentic way possible.
What role does writing in multiple languages play in your creative process?
Writing in all four languages isn't just a technical flex; it is how I think and communicate every day in my city. When I am in the studio, the language I choose for a specific bar depends entirely on the emotion I am trying to convey. Some raw, grounded feelings just hit harder in Marathi or Kannada, while a specific punchline might flow better in Hindi or English. It allows me to paint a completely accurate picture of my reality and bridge the gap between different cultures within the Desi Hip-Hop scene.
Walk us through your studio or recording setup.
These pictures show the evolution of my workspace. The daytime setup is where it all started—grinding out early demos right in my own bedroom with just a mic, a laptop, and the bare essentials. But as my sound matured, I shifted my recording sessions over to my producer Drippy's home setup. That red-lit sanctuary you see in the other pictures is his space, and it has become our creative headquarters. It gives us that isolated, gritty energy we need to fully lock in and engineer the tracks.
What's the story behind the freestyle or verse you just uploaded?
These are behind-the-scenes footage from a shoot because being an independent artist isn't just about the time spent recording; it's about the execution. The story here is the pure hustle of bringing a vision to reality. It captures the exact energy I felt when laying down the verse with my producer Drippy in the studio—taking that raw emotion and putting it in front of the camera to give the audience the complete picture.
What inspired the handwritten lyrics you shared?
Writing those lyrics by hand in Marathi was all about matching the gritty essence of boombap. You can't just type out a verse like that on a phone; it needs to feel physical. The inspiration was simply looking around my environment in the 0SIX and documenting it. Putting the pen to paper in my regional language helps me connect deeply with the culture and keep the storytelling completely raw and true to my roots.
Describe the vibe and inspiration behind that audio snippet.
The vibe of this freestyle is pure, raw confidence. The inspiration was to make a definitive statement about who I am and where I'm from. When I rap about being the 'Belgav cha rapper' and shout out the '06', I'm directly representing my city of Belagavi and my neighborhood's 590006 pincode. It's an unfiltered introduction to my zone in Marathi hip-hop, showing that I can lock into the beat, hit those tight pockets, and hold my ground.
What was the most memorable moment from that live performance?
The most memorable moment was being able to represent my city right at home. These photos are from Jain College of Engineering in Belagavi, right in the 590006 pincode that my name, 0SIXKIDD, comes from. Looking out at a crowd of my peers and seeing them instantly connect with the raw, multilingual energy I was bringing to the stage felt like a massive validation of the brand I am building.
How does FL Studio help shape your sound?
FL Studio is the absolute backbone of my sound. It is the control center where my raw vocals and the beat finally come together. Working in FL allows my producer Drippy and me to meticulously sequence heavy 808s and dial in the exact Desi Hip-Hop vibe we want. Most importantly, its intuitive vocal arrangement makes it easy to perfectly sit my multilingual verses right in the pocket, ensuring the transitions between my Marathi, Kannada, Hindi, and English bars are completely seamless.
What did you learn from collaborating with Drippy?
Working with Drippy taught me the true value of creative trust. When you find a producer who genuinely understands your vision, it changes everything. He knows exactly how to build the right sonic foundation for my multilingual flows. The biggest takeaway from our collaboration is that music isn't just about throwing a beat and a vocal together; it's about building a cohesive sound as a team where the production and the pen game push each other to the next level.
What do you think made your most popular tracks resonate with listeners?
Tracks like 'My Life', 'Mother Tongue', and 'Narak Bhumi' resonate because they refuse to compromise on authenticity. Listeners are smart—they can tell when an artist is putting on an act versus when they are bleeding their real life into the mic. Whether it is the trilingual cultural blend or the raw storytelling of my daily hustle, the audience connects with the music because every beat Drippy makes and every bar I write is a 100% genuine reflection of the 0SIXKIDD reality.
