How did your journey in photography begin?
My journey in photography began during a school assignment that required me to go on a nature walk and observe my surroundings. As I walked, I started noticing small details that I would normally overlook—flowers blooming beside the path, sunlight shining through leaves, and interesting patterns in nature. I decided to capture these moments with my camera, and I quickly realized how much I enjoyed it. Photography helped me see the world from a different perspective and appreciate the beauty of nature around me. What started as a simple school project soon became a hobby that I am passionate about today. Nature walks are often a great way for beginners to develop observation skills and discover interesting subjects to photograph.
What inspired you to focus on nature and product photography?
I have always been inspired by nature's colors, textures, and patterns. Flowers especially caught my attention because of their delicate details. Product photography interested me because it combines creativity with precision. Seeing professional advertising campaigns and floral arrangements inspired me to create images that feel both artistic and commercial.
Tell us about a memorable moment from your early days as a photographer.
One memorable moment was creating my first flower-themed product shoot. Watching how light interacted with the flowers and the product made me realize how much emotion a photograph could convey. It was the moment I understood that photography is more than taking pictures—it's about creating a visual experience.
How has your photography style evolved over the years?
My style has evolved from simple documentation to intentional storytelling. I now focus more on lighting, color harmony, composition, and mood. My product photography has become more refined and professional.
What's a nature photo that best represents your work?
The photograph is of a purple flower, in a field of greenery and flowers.
Walk us through a product shot that showcases your skills.
The product featured is a floral fragrance mist. To complement its feminine and refreshing theme, I surrounded it with vibrant pink flowers. I used directional lighting to create dramatic shadows and depth while ensuring the product remained the focal point. The goal was to create a luxurious and romantic atmosphere that reflected the scent's floral identity.
Can you show us an edited versus unedited version of one of your photos?
I adjusted exposure, contrast, highlights, and shadows to create a more balanced image. I enhanced the colors of the flowers, improved sharpness on the product label, reduced distractions, and refined the overall mood to make the photograph more visually appealing and professional.
How did you handle challenging lighting in this shot?
The scene featured strong directional light that created harsh shadows. Instead of eliminating them completely, I used the shadows creatively to add drama and depth. Careful positioning of the product ensured that important details remained visible while maintaining a striking visual effect.
What story does this portrait tell?
This image tells a story of quiet exploration and solitude. The duck appears focused as it moves along the water's edge, creating a peaceful and reflective mood. It highlights the beauty of everyday moments that often go unnoticed.
Explain the composition or color choices in this photo.
I used a cool blue background to create contrast against the bright, reflective jewelry. The curved shape of the necklace naturally guides the viewer's eye through the frame, while the negative space keeps the composition clean and elegant. The combination of cool tones and sparkling highlights helps emphasize luxury and sophistication.
