WallMag: According to you, what aspects make a great picture?
WallMag: where do you seek inspiration in this genre and why?
Any picture that tells a great story is a great picture for me to shoot.
I Follow Mr Sudhir Shivaram, to have a great inspiration as he is the best wildlife photographer according to me.
WallMag: usually, how do you plan a shoot?
Normally I visit nearby birding spots every three months and wildlife sanctuary once a year for the good shoot and to think from where I can have the best wildlife shoot.
WallMag: What kind of equipment and gear do you require for the photography?
A DSLR camera or a Mirrorless camera with a telephoto lens is the most important thing and the pieces of equipment that are required to me for the photography in wildlife scenarios.
WallMag: How is wildlife photography different from other forms of photography?
WallMag: What are the skills that are required in a professional wildlife photographer?
Most of the other photography doesn’t take much time, it takes an hour and patience at the same time for wildlife photography. Since you have to wait for hours for the perfect shoot to happen and that too needs to be captured in just few seconds only.
Many skills are required to be a professional wildlife photographer as it requires, a Knowledge of photography and the skills and the Proficiency of using camera equipment and most important the ability to professionally edit photos.Experience in varying photography styles is still the most important and at the same time, Willingness to travel, Outdoor survival skills, Knowledge of environmental regulations and animal safety, Researching skills are required.
WallMag: In your life, how contests have influenced and helped you to improve your photography skills?
WallMag: Is there any particular creature you love to photograph again and again?
Participating in a contest is important as it always inspires me and makes me responsible to capture a better image every time I click the picture.
WallMag: Which image, captured by you to date, will you call your best?
WallMag: what other qualities play an important role to become a good wildlife photographer?
Yes, there are two of my favourite creatures, Green Bee-eater & Pied Kingfisher.
Recently I went to Purbasthali Bird sanctuary, West Bengal. There I waited for hours to capture the action shot of osprey and an action shot of stork Billed Kingfisher. These two images are my best capture to date.
Apart from photography skills, the most important thing is patience and willingness to travel. The love for nature is also important to capture the good shoot.

If you have a passion for photography and a love for nature. If you like to take on challenges. If you have the patience to wait for long hours in a birding spot and jungle then you must try a wildlife photography.
