A National Stage Is Now Open
Entries are now open for the WallMag Fashion Creator of the Year Awards 2026 — a national recognition for the people who decide how India looks, and the broadest fashion award we have put our name to. It is not built around one label, one city, or one kind of training. It is built around the idea that an eye worth following deserves to be seen, whether it was trained at NIFT, in a tailoring shop, or on a phone screen at two in the morning.
This is a celebration first and a competition second. The craft is the point: the patience behind a clean seam, the restraint behind a good edit, the instinct behind a face that reads in one frame. Submissions are live from today and close on 5 November 2026.
About the Award
The Fashion Creator of the Year Awards celebrate everyone a look passes through before it reaches anyone else — the designer who drafted it, the weaver who made the cloth, the stylist who decided what it sat next to, the makeup and hair artists who finished it, the model who carried it, and the photographer who found the one frame worth keeping. Fashion is almost never a solo credit, and this award is built to say so: five groups, 27 categories, no gatekeeping by budget or following.
Recognition here is deliberately two-sided. Every entry is seen by the WallMag creator community, whose votes decide the Top 100 finalists. Only then does an expert fashion jury begin its work, reviewing those hundred to choose the Top 3. Community voting alone would reward whoever arrives with the largest audience. A jury alone would be opaque. Together they produce something a creator can put on a profile and a stranger can reason about.
For winners and finalists, the outcome is national visibility, partner-brand rewards, a place in WallMag Creator Magazine, and a recognition certificate that carries a verifiable process behind it.
Who It's For
Any creator based in India, over eighteen. That is the whole eligibility bar. Hobbyist or professional, trained or self-taught, with a following or without one.
- Designers working in apparel, couture, streetwear, ethnic and fusion wear, accessories, jewellery and textiles.
- Models across editorial, runway, commercial, fitness and inclusive casting.
- Stylists and personal stylists who build a look out of what already exists.
- Makeup and hair artists, including bridal and occasion work — the busiest, least-credited craft in Indian fashion.
- Fashion, street-style, campaign and beauty photographers.
- Anyone working sustainably — upcycling, deadstock, repair — where the constraint is the idea.
If you have ever been told your work is “not the kind of fashion that wins awards”, this one was written with you in mind.
What We're Excited to See
We are excited about work you created, styled, modelled, shot, or designed and fully own — any aesthetic, any budget, any city. A clean phone shoot of a genuinely considered look will always beat an expensive weak one, so do not let production budget decide whether you enter. Photo sets and video are both welcome.
Three principles govern every submission:
- Authentic ownership: every entry must be made and fully owned by you.
- Integrity first: AI-generated, stock-licensed, traced or plagiarised work is disqualified without refund.
- Quality over budget: submit at the highest quality you can, but production spend is never the judging criterion.

- Styling & Beauty — Fashion Styling, Personal Styling / Wardrobe Curation, Makeup Artistry, Bridal & Occasion Makeup, Hair Styling
- Image-Making — Fashion Photography (Editorial), Street Style Photography, Campaign / Lookbook Photography, Beauty Photography
- Formats & Collaborations — Fashion Film / Reel, Behind-the-Scenes Story, Collection Showcase (up to 5 looks), Get Ready With Me, Designer x Photographer Collaboration
