A National Stage Is Now Open
Entries are now open for the WallMag Gaming Creator of the Year Awards 2026 — a national recognition for the people who made Indian gaming loud, and the broadest gaming award we have put our name to. It is not built around one title, one platform, or one rank. It is built around the idea that someone genuinely good at this deserves to be seen, whether they play on a ₹12,000 phone or a tower they saved two years for.
This is a celebration first and a competition second. The craft is the point: the hours behind a clean clutch, the edit behind a montage that actually lands, the instinct behind commentary that makes a stranger care. Submissions are live from today and close on 5 November 2026.
About the Award
The Gaming Creator of the Year Awards celebrate the whole room, not just the fragger — the streamer who built an audience from a bedroom, the editor whose cuts made the clip travel, the caster who gave a local scrim the weight of a final, the indie developer shipping a game between day jobs, and the artist who drew the character everyone recognises. Five groups, 29 categories, no gatekeeping by rig, rank or follower count.
Recognition here is deliberately two-sided. Every entry is seen by the WallMag creator community, whose votes decide the Top 100 finalists. Only then does an expert gaming jury begin its work, reviewing those hundred to choose the Top 3. Community voting alone would reward whoever arrives with the largest audience. A jury alone would be opaque. Together they produce something a creator can put on a profile and a stranger can reason about.
For winners and finalists, the outcome is national visibility, partner-brand rewards, a place in WallMag Creator Magazine, and a recognition certificate that carries a verifiable process behind it.
Who It's For
Any creator based in India, over eighteen. That is the whole eligibility bar. Hobbyist or professional, trained or self-taught, with a following or without one.
- Battle royale, shooter, MOBA, open-world, racing, strategy, horror and mobile-casual players.
- Streamers and long-form creators building an audience live.
- Editors and montage-makers whose craft is the cut, not the kill.
- Competitive players, squads and shoutcasters working the Indian esports circuit.
- Indie developers, game artists, composers and sound designers.
- Mod-makers, map-builders, cosplayers and gaming-culture creators.
If you have ever been told mobile gaming does not count, this one was written with you in mind.
What We're Excited to See
We are excited about gameplay you played, recorded, edited, or built and fully own — any title, any platform, any language. Regional-language commentary is actively welcome; it is where most of the growth is. A 60-second clip of something genuinely remarkable beats a 20-minute upload of something ordinary.
Three principles govern every submission:
- Authentic ownership: every entry must be made and fully owned by you.
- Integrity first: AI-generated, stock-licensed, traced or plagiarised work is disqualified without refund.
- Quality over budget: submit at the highest quality you can, but production spend is never the judging criterion.
The Categories
You may submit up to five entries. Enter each under the category that fits it best — 29 categories across 5 groups:
- Games & Genres — Battle Royale (BGMI / Free Fire / PUBG), FPS / TPS Shooter, MOBA, Open World / RPG, Racing & Sports, Strategy & Simulation, Horror & Survival, Mobile Casual, Indie Games
- Performance & Play — Esports Player, Esports Team / Squad, Clutch & Highlight Play, Speedrun, Shoutcasting / Commentary
- Content Craft — Live Streaming, Montage & Edit, Let's Play / Walkthrough, Funny / Meme Gaming, Tips, Tricks & Guides, Review & First Impressions
- Game-Making — Game Development (Indie Dev), Game Art & Character Design, Game Music & Sound Design, Mods & Custom Maps
- Formats & Collaborations — Short-Form Clip / Reel, Full Stream Highlight, Squad / Duo Collaboration, Cosplay & Gaming Culture, Setup & Behind-the-Scenes
If your work sits between two of these, pick the closest one and say so in your entry description. We read every submission before it goes to the panel.
