Dear Reader,
There is a particular kind of magic that lives in the space between a signal and its silence — the breath a photographer holds before the shutter falls, the stillness that settles over a frame once the moment has passed. With Signals & Stillness (Vol. 7), we set out to celebrate exactly that: the quiet, deliberate act of noticing, and the courage it takes to make something lasting out of a fleeting instant.
This issue is the largest gathering of voices we have ever assembled — 72 photographers and musicians from across India and beyond, each carrying a story worth telling. Some shoot with the finest gear; many shoot with nothing more than a phone, a borrowed camera, or an inherited eye for wonder. What unites them is not equipment but attention — the willingness to look closely, wait patiently, and honour what they see.
As you turn these pages, we hope you feel what we felt while curating them: awe, tenderness, and a renewed love for the craft. Thank you for being part of this community that keeps looking, keeps listening, and keeps capturing.
