Why We Launched This Award
Guitar players are everywhere — the bedroom shredder, the wedding-stage veteran, the quiet fingerstyle player recording into a phone at midnight — but a stage that actually listens is rare. We built the WallMag Guitar Player Awards 2026 to be that stage: one place where six strings are heard by a community that understands the hours behind every clean take. These 100 finalists are what that looks like when players stop waiting for permission and simply play.
How Are Finalists Selected?
This Top 100 was chosen by community votes. Every project earned a score from the votes it received, measured against the highest-scoring entry in the award; we then ranked every creator by their strongest submission, and the top 100 became finalists. No shortcuts, no editorial picks — the community decided who is standing here.

How Are Winners Decided?
This is where our jury joins in. For the final Top 3, jury evaluation counts for 80% and community votes for 20% of the score — so the finalists you vote for now still gain ground before the winners are named. Sei Hek - Leap of Faith
Sei-Hek is an instrumental prog/math rock band from Mumbai, India. In the Manipuri language (Meiteilon), the term “Seihek” refers to the melody and rhythm of a musical composition. Khuraijam Sanjeet, a guitarist, composer, and producer, came up with the idea of naming the band after this Manipuri term in pursuit of composing new styles of music after acquiring knowledge and playing music for over eight years. Sei-Hek was officially formed with the aim of creating new and refreshing waves of music through the multiple genres that have influenced them. They guarantee to deliver musical hooks, rhythmic madness, lush harmonies you name it.
