How did your journey into photography begin?
My journey into photography began with a simple curiosity to capture moments and emotions through a lens. What started as taking photos during everyday outings gradually turned into a passion for storytelling. I became fascinated by how a single image can preserve memories, convey emotions, and tell powerful stories. Over time, I started learning composition, lighting, and editing, which helped me develop my own creative style. Today, photography is not just a hobby for me—it is a way of expressing my perspective and connecting with people through visual storytelling.
What was the first moment you realized photography was more than just a hobby?
I realized photography was more than a hobby when I began looking at the world differently. Instead of simply seeing places and people, I started seeing stories, emotions, and moments waiting to be captured. The ability to preserve those moments and share them with others turned photography into a creative purpose rather than just an interest.
How has your experience and style grown over the years?
Over the years, my experience has grown from simply taking photographs to intentionally creating visual stories. As I learned more about composition, lighting, editing, and storytelling, my style became more refined and meaningful. I now focus on capturing authentic emotions, unique perspectives, and moments that leave a lasting impact. Every project and experience has helped me develop a stronger creative vision while continuously pushing me to learn and evolve as a photographer.
What is the most memorable travel or street photo you have ever captured?
One of my most memorable street photographs was captured during a quiet evening when a single subject was illuminated by the last rays of sunlight while the busy city moved around them. The contrast between stillness and movement created a powerful story in a single frame. What made the image special was not just the composition, but the emotion it conveyed—a reminder that extraordinary moments often exist within ordinary life.
What photo best represents your travel photography style?
This photograph captures a quiet moment inside an artisan’s workshop where unfinished idols stand surrounded by tools, shadows, and everyday chaos. The partially opened blue door acts as a frame, inviting viewers into a hidden world of creativity and tradition. What drew me to this scene was the contrast between light and darkness, revealing the beauty of craftsmanship that often remains unseen before the final celebration.
What story does your street photo tell?
The image captures the contrast between solitude and movement on a rainy night. While the streets appear quiet and mysterious, the passing vehicles symbolize the persistence of life through every challenge. The rain, light, and reflections come together to create a story of endurance, atmosphere, and the unnoticed beauty of everyday moments.
What captures the essence of street photography in your eyes?

The story of this image is about balance. The river represents peace and tradition, while the city skyline symbolizes progress and change. Together, they show how people continue their daily lives while nature remains an inseparable part of the journey.
A behind-the-scenes moment — and the challenge behind the shot

I was capturing the fog rolling over the Ganga, with some children enjoying themselves out on the water. My phone struggled at first — the first two or three shots came out blurry — but the fourth one turned out to be my best click.
Can you show us an edited vs. unedited version of a photo to demonstrate your editing process?
I used Lightroom and Photoshop for the editing. The process involved adjusting exposure, contrast, and color grading to enhance the mood while keeping the image natural. I also used selective adjustments to bring out details in the shadows and highlights, and applied subtle sharpening to make the textures pop.
What editing software or techniques did you use for this photo?
Lightroom and Photoshop.
Upload a short cinematic video clip (10-15 seconds) that tells a story.
This clip uses a combination of cinematic techniques including establishing shots, leading lines, environmental storytelling, and smooth composition to create a sense of journey and atmosphere. The use of wide-angle street scenes, natural lighting, shallow depth of field, and warm color grading helps build a visually immersive experience. Letterbox framing and deliberate pacing were used to give the video a film-like aesthetic, while the transition from indoor to outdoor scenes enhances the narrative flow and sense of movement.
How did you overcome the lighting challenge in this photo?
The main lighting challenge was balancing the bright sunlight entering through the arches with the comparatively darker interior of the corridor. To overcome this, I carefully adjusted my exposure to preserve details in both the highlights and shadows. I also used the natural light and reflections on the floor as compositional elements, allowing the contrast between light and shadow to enhance the depth, symmetry, and atmosphere of the image.
